1972 Porsche 911S Navigation
This Porsche 911 2.4 S is equipped with a 2,341cc air-cooled SOHC flat-6 cylinder engine with Bosch Mechanical fuel injection and delivering 190 horsepower at 6,500 RPM. It has a five-speed Type 915 manual transaxle, an independent suspension with torsion bars, and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. Like other 'S' models, it gained a new front spoiler, a secondary oil-cooler, and the handling was enhanced via the repositioning of the oil tank below the right-side rear window with a distinctive exterior filler cap.
This Porsche was delivered new through Park Porsche Audi of Buena Park, California, in July 1972. Optional US-market equipment included tinted glass, stabilizer bars, and KONI shocks.
Between 2014 and 2015, the car was given a restoration with the body being refinished in the original shade of Light Ivory. The interior was done in red leatherette with Recaro sport seats with houndstooth inserts.
