1967 Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 Coupe

When the Lamborghini 350 GT's engine displacement grew to four liters, its name was changed to reflect these changes - becoming the 400 GT. It was introduced in 1966 at the Geneva Motor Show and its overall length grew to accommodate seating for four with its 2+2 arrangement.

This particular example is finished in Rosso Alfa (Alfa Red) over a black interior. The 3,929cc DOHC alloy twelve-cylinder engine breathes through six Weber 40 DCOE 2 carburetors and delivers 320 horsepower at 6,500 RPM. There is a five-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes.

This Lamborghini 400 GT is one of 247 examples built and is a US-delivery model that was imported new to Lamborghini dealer Bob Estes of Inglewood, California, on July 25, 1966. By 1968, the car was offered for sale by Vasek Polak, who sold it to Dr. Samuel Baskerville of Bakersfield, California, on January 18, 1968. The car remained in Dr. Baskerville's care for the next 53 years before it was discovered by the current caretaker in 2021 following decades in storage.

This Lamborghini was last registered through May 1987 and currently displays 51,593 miles on its odometer.
