1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Navigation
This Ferrari with coachwork by Scaglietti has had just two owners since new and is one of around 60 short-nose 275 GTBs that received six carburetors (275 GTB/6C). The standard steel bodywork was finished in Rosso Cina with a cockpit trimmed in beige Connolly leather. It had left-hand-drive configuration with instrumentation in miles.
This Ferrari was completed at the factory on February 24th with the six-carburetor setup added two weeks later on March 15th. It departed Maranello and through Chinetti on to its first recorded owner—the Canadian retail heir John Craig George Eaton II—by late May 1965. Around 1970, the car was placed into storage with around 24,000 miles on its odometer.
The car remained in storage until 1997 when it was sold to its current custodian in a deal brokered by Ferrari of Ontario. As part of the arrangement, the car was completely restored by the dealer, which took four years to complete, returning it to its factory specification. The original color scheme was replaced by its present Giallo Fly exterior and Pelle Beige leather upholstery.
The restoration was completed in late 2001, with its odometer indicating nearly 24,900 miles. The new owner drove the car often, but following a move to Arizona in 2005, the car returned to static storage in his living room for the next seventeen years.
In early 2022, this car was sent to Ferrari Classiche headquarters in Maranello where it was issued a Classiche Red Book, confirming it to be a full numbers-matching 275 GTB/6.By Daniel Vaughan | Dec 2022
