    Flying Lizard Motorsports is a renowned race team based in Sonoma, California. They entered this 2009 Porsche 997 GT3 RSR race car in three 24 Hours of Le Mans races with its best finish in 2012. Drivers Spencer Pumpelly, Seth Nieman and Patrick Pilet earned the pole position in the GTAM class for Flying Lizard Motorsports in the 2012 race. Pilet set the GT AM Pole with a time of 3:57.594, for the American team, which qualified them ahead of four GT Pro class race cars. The car ended up 4th in class and 27th overall. This Porsche 997 RSR also saw action in the 2009 and 2010 24-hour endurance competition at Le Mans. This car is now campaigned in vintage racing with co-owners Martin Lauber and Alan Terpins.
