1957 AC Ace Bristol Roadster

Edmund Rahal, a foreign car dealer from Savannah, Georgia, and founder of the Rahal racing dynasty, purchased this AC Bristol (BEX315) new in 1957. Ed was active in the Southeast region of the SCCA where he campaigned successfully with BEX315 and several other cars. After winning a race with BEX315 in June 1958 at the Cocoa-Titusville airport track, he let DeWitt Titus use BEX315 in the feature race. Titus crashed while Rahal won the race in his Jaguar D-Type. BEX315 was then sold to Jerry Lynch, who had also raced in an AC Bristol in the SCCA Northeast region. Jerry Lynch kept the car, in its crashed state, in his garage for 40 years before starting a comprehensive restoration using body panels he had acquired from AC in the 1960s. After completing the restoration in 2002, Jerry actively raced with BEX315 in many vintage races in Colorado and California.
