1932 MG J2 Navigation
This 1932 MG J2 was featured in the Jan/Feb 2019 edition of Vintage Motorsport and was owned formally SCCA racer and executive Fred Wacker. Fred Wacker who served as SCCA President from 1953 through 1955. He was a well-known driver, racing a series of sports cars identified by his signature '8-Ball' number.
The was sold new in Gloucester, England on December 16, 1932, and like many MGs, found its way across to America after World War II.
The car stayed in the ownership of Fred and then Jana Wacker when it was purchased by a collector from New York. In 2014 the J2 came to the current owner/entrant who commenced a faithful restoration bringing the car to its original specification with all matching numbers, and preservation of original the parts, wherever possible.
The car was shown at Greenwich Concours in 2019 and won awards at the Dream Ride Car Show in 2019, Lime Rock Park Concours in 2021 and Wheels on the Green in 2022.
