1971 Stutz Blackhawk Navigation
This 1971 Stutz Blackhawk Series I is powered by a 460 cubic-inch, overhead valve, V8 engine with a single four-barrel carburetor, and paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. There are disc brakes at the front and drums in the rear. The suspension is independent with coil springs, while the rear uses a live axle with semi-elliptical leaf springs.
Of the 25 Series I examples built, it is believed that this is the 17th example built and the one that was exhibited at the 1971 New York International Auto Show. The current caretaker acquired the car in 2011 and completed an eight-year restoration. The engine has been rebuilt, and the exterior wears a deep battleship gray.By Daniel Vaughan | Apr 2023
