This Porsche 914/6 Targa is powered by a 1,991cc SOHC flat six-cylinder engine with twin carburetors and delivers 110 horsepower at 5,800 RPM. There is a five-speed manual transaxle, an independent suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. It left the Porsche factory in May 1971 and was finished in Signal Orange over a black leatherette interior. Prepared for the United States market, it was equipped with a limited-slip differential, tinted windshield, electric heated rear window, light metal wheels, and an antenna with Loudspeaker & noise suppression. There is a front-mounted spare tire and a jack.
This Porsche was delivered new to a Mr. Vernon W Gurzenoa of Somerset, Pennsylvania, on July 20, 1971. Eventually, the car was acquired by Chip Ganassi, who treated the car to a complete nut and bolt restoration by the Chip Ganassi Racing team. It is believed that Mr. Ganassi owned the car from 2012 until around 2017, when it was purchased by its current owner. The odometer currently shows less than 61,000 miles.
