1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Navigation
This 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/6C Alloy Berlinetta is one of eighty Ferrari 275 GTBs built with aluminum long-nose coachwork by Scaglietti. It has a long-nose body, the original 3,285cc Colombo V-12 engine with six Weber double-choke carburetors, a five-speed manual gearbox, and a tool roll. It is finished in Giallo Fly exterior with a black interior.
This Ferrari was sold new to Pirelli Tire Company, who kept it in Italy from 1966-1968 for tire testing. It was sold to the second owner, Mr. Pietro Achilli of Milan, in 1968 and exported from Italy to the United States in 1969. As of 1984, it was owned by Earle W. Hartley Jr of Thomaston, Connecticut, and in 1987, Peter Malinchoc purchased the car from Nick Soprano of Motor Classics, who verbally conveyed that the previous owner was Peter Livanos. Mr. Malinchoc commissioned Berlinetta Motorcars of Long Island, New York, to completely restore 8157 and paint the car Giallo Fly (Fly Yellow). It has been part of a private collection since the mid-1990s.
