1937 Terraplane Series 72 Super Convertible Brougham

This 1937 Terraplane 72 Super Convertible Brougham has a low split and visored windshield, vent windows that can be locked to roll down with the main pane, a traditional blind-quarter convertible top (finished in Haartz cloth), and a brown leather bench seat. There is a wood-grained dashboard with Art Deco instrument bezels, vents, and radio facia, and a banjo steering wheel. Exterior accessories include dual yellow fog lights, a single spotlight, and rear fender skirts. Beneath the bonnet is a 112-horsepower Powerdome six-cylinder engine paired with a three-speed manual transmission.

This Terraplane is a Mandalay Ivory exterior with a triple pinstripe. It was given a restoration near the late 1990s and, in 1999, achieved its Senior award in Antique Automobile Club of America competition while owned by Henry 'Duke' Marley of North Carolina. In the spring of 2005, it was acquired by the Gateway Automobile Museum.
