1982 Lancia Rally 037 Coupe

This restored Lancia Rally 037 was completed in 1982 and is believed to have been delivered new to Japan. It would remain in the island nation for nearly thirty-five years before it was imported to the United States around 2016 in complete and original condition. The new owner had the car sent to Italy and was entrusted to the Turinese Abarth and Lancia restoration company, Baldi Brothers, to undergo an exhaustive cosmetic and mechanical restoration. Work included disassembling and rebuilding the engine to factory specifications. The paintwork and interior were renewed in their correct Rosso Corsa and distinctive black corduroy fabric finishes.

When the restoration was completed, it was sent back to California in 2017 and was immediately shown at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in Monterey, California. In January 2018, it joined the current owner's collection with just over 28,700 kilometers at the time. Currently, the car has just over 31,000 kilometers on its Veglia Borletti odometer.
