1993 Vector WX-3 Navigation
This vehicle is the Vector Avtech WX-3 Prototype that arrived at the 1992 Geneva show wearing a silver paint scheme. It was devoid of a powertrain, and its carbon fiber and Kevlar body was more streamlined than its predecessor. It had a three-abreast bench seat configuration with a cockpit-style dashboard. It returned to Geneva a year later on the Vector stand, but this time employed a 7.0-liter Rodeck twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing approximately 1,000 horsepower. Its paint scheme was now Brilliant Aquamarine, the same that it wears today.
The car's creator, Gerald Wiegert, retained the car until 2019. After being sold into private ownership, the car was given nearly $300,000 of restoration work. The work was conducted by Miller Motorcars of Greenwich, CT.By Daniel Vaughan | Nov 2023
