1915 Chevrolet Model 490 Navigation
Louis Chevrolet had produced automobiles for several years before this model, but they had all been of a 'custom' high-priced quality. In 1915, the great competition between Ford and Chevrolet began and has lasted through the years. This Chevy 490 Touring is powered by a four-cylinder, water-cooled, gasoline engine offering 19.5 horsepower. Built by the Chevrolet Motor Car Company of Flint, Michigan, this Tourer had a base price of $490. The electric lights added an additional $60.
