The 1924 Templar 4-45 Five-Passenger Touring. The 'Super-Fine Small Car' Cleveland, Ohio (1917 to 1924).
Templar managed to have a few reasonably good sale years in the early 1920s, but unfortunately, it wouldn't last. The car was too expensive and not enough people appreciated its technical superiority. Templar would produce its last cars for the 1924 model year. This car is one of 446 built in 1924, Templar's last year of manufacture. The company was taken over by a Cleveland bank for default of a loan.
This 4-45 Five-Passenger Tourer is powered by a four-cylinder engine with overhead valves, a 197 cubic-inch displacement size, and develops 43 horsepower. It has semi-elliptic springs, a semi-floating rear axle, a Hotchkiss drive, and four-wheel brakes.
