1960 Rolls-Royce Phantom V Limousine

One of the cars on the Rolls-Royce stand at the 1960 New York Auto Show was this Phantom V Limousine with coachwork by James Young. The car's original owner was C.F. Seabrook of Seabrook Farms Inc. and it is not clear if the car was commissioned or if Mr. Seabrook fell in love with the car at the show. It would remain in his care for some 24 years. In 1984, John Seabrook (presumably the son of the original owner) advertised the car in the Flying Lady, Rolls-Royce Owners Club publication, where it is listed as having covered 36,000 miles from new.

The car's new owner was Barry Cooney of Portland, Oregon, who drove it home after purchasing it from the Seabrooks. Around 2010, after passing through several owners, it came into the care of its current caretakers. It currently has 49,498 miles on its odometer.

This Rolls-Royce Phantom V is powered by a 6,230cc overhead valve V8 engine with two SU carburetors and delivering 220 horsepower at 4,400 RPM. There is a three-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel drum brakes, an independent front suspension, and a live rear axle.
