The Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 was designed and constructed by Pininfarina, bestowing it with low-slung fastback styling that complemented the performance of its 4.4-liter V12 engine. With three Weber carburetors, the powerplant was factory-rated at 320 horsepower. Standard amenities given to this grand tourer included power steering, power brakes, power windows, and a self-leveling independent rear suspension. It had a luxurious interior with veneered trim panels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a radio, and air conditioning.
This example left the factory wearing an Argento exterior over Beige Connolly leather. It was delivered new in March 1969 to an official Ferrari dealer, Dino Ravasio & Sons, and sold that year to a resident of Verona by the name of Piccolotto. Later in its existence, the car was imported to the United States and was sold by Auto Palace Sales of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 20, 1978 to Thomas Boniface of Poland, Ohio.
In May 1978, FAF Motors of Tucker, Georgia, listed the car for sale through Ferrari Market Letter. A short time later, FAF repainted the car to its current configuration of brown metallic.
The car's current owner, Walter Medlin, purchased the Ferrari from FAF in April 1979. Since that time, the car has resided in storage. It received damage when the storage building collapsed during Hurricane Charley in 2004.By Daniel Vaughan | Jan 2024
