1948 Lincoln Mark I Continental Navigation
Lincoln's 1948 model line was a prewar holdover as the company prepared to introduce an all-new model for 1949. Equipped with a 305 cubic-inch L-head V-12 engine, the 1948 Lincolns remained powerful, luxurious, and benefitted from hand craftsmanship. Production was exclusive, with 847 club coupes and 452 convertibles for the 1948 model year.
This particular example was assembled on November 5th, 1947, and left the factory wearing a Grotto Blue exterior, a tan top, and a blue leather interior with whipcord upholstery. Optional equipment included a heater, chrome bands, fog lamps, whitewall tires, and a radio.
The current owner acquired this Continental in 2010, and in early 2023, the engine and other mechanical components were refurbished.By Daniel Vaughan | Feb 2024
