1920 Lexington Series S Navigation
Lexington began building cars in 1909 in Lexington, KY. The factory was moved to Connersville, IN, in 1910. Production continued until 1926. Ansted Engineering Co. started supplying engines for the Lexington racers in 1920, and the next year, they were used in all models.

Pikes Peak - Lexington participated in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb regularly from 1920 until 1926. In 1920, they won 1st and 2nd place and finished in one or more top three places every year thereafter. In total, 14 cars were entered during that period. The cars varied greatly, with both single and two-seat variations.

This Car - During the early days of the automobile, manufacturers would use their success in racing to showcase their car's reliability and speed to help the sales of stock production models. After Otto Loesche won the 1920 race, the factory freshened the race-winning car, covered it in graphic lettering and sent him around the country to dealerships to promote their success. Few race cars enjoy having such a 'second life.'
