This Lola T332 was acquired by Hogan Racing (St. Louis, MO) and entered for Johnny Rutherford to drive at the Watkins Glen F5000 race in July 1974. It was Rutherford's first F5000 race and his first road race of the year. An accident during practice heavily damaged the car. Apparently repaired and returning to racing, it is reported that David Hobbs, Jody Scheckter, and Brent Lunger raced the car in 1975 and 1976.
It was converted to center-seat Can-Am format in 1984 and competed in the new center-seat Can-Am series. In 1990, the car was returned to its Formula 5000 specification.
The 5.0-liter Chevrolet V8 engine is paired with a Hewland DG300, five-speed gearbox.
