1997 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe

The open-top RT/10 roadster was the sole body style for the Viper for four years before the debut of the coupe version, the Viper GTS. Inspired by the Pete Brock-designed Shelby Cobra Daytona coupe of the mid-1960s, it featured a redesigned competition-specific chassis and suspension, more aerodynamic bodywork, distinctive 'double bubble' roofline, and a reworked V-10 that was lower weight and more powerful. It had a top speed of over 180 mph and could run a ¼-mile in 12.2 seconds at 119 mph.

This particular Viper GTS was originally delivered to Roanoke Motors of Roanoke, Illinois. It was displayed at a dealership in Crawfordsville, Indiana, for several years before it was moved into indoor storage. It is believed that the car was never titled until 2005.

This Viper was sold to a dealer in November 2020 and, several months later, was purchased by its current caretaker (its second private owner). It has been scarcely used since new, and there are just 64 miles on its odometer.
