2003 Alpina V8 Roadster

The Alpina Roadster V8 was their interpretation of the BMW Z8. Introduced in 2003, it distinguished itself as a grand touring-style vehicle with a much more relaxed drivetrain that offered considerably more torque at lower engine speeds. The 4.8-litre type M62 V-8 engine developed slightly lower horsepower than the Z8, but could still reach 100 km/h in just over five seconds and topped out at an electronically limited 260 km/h.

Favoring passenger comfort, the Alpina received a softer suspension and 20-inch Alpina wheels with conventional rubber, shedding the Z8's standard run-flat tires. The interior featured blue-faced Alpina gauges, a three-spoke steering wheel with shift paddles, and soft Nappa leather.

During its production lifespan, a total of 555 units were constructed worldwide. This particular example wears a Jet Black exterior over a Crema and Black Nappa leather interior with a matching painted hardtop. Standard amenities include the Harman Kardon sound system, heated power-adjustable sport seats, Xenon headlights, and Alpina script on the seats and exterior badging. Optional equipment includes the cupholder and a Motorola car phone. The interior plaque identifies this vehicle as number 382 of 555 units.

This Alpina V8 has 6,938 miles o its odoemter. It was delivered new to Daytona Beach, Florida, and remained in the care of its original owner for over six years. The second owner kept the Alpina for an additional thirteen years in Florida.
