1931 Cadillac Series 370-A Twelve Navigation
Cadillac's twelve and sixteen-cylinder models shared several similarities, such as both being available with catalogue bodies by Fisher and Fleetwood, both being manufactured to high quality and standards, and both engines being styled by Harley Earl's Art & Colour Department. They differed only in details of trim, price and engine size. Additionally, the bonnet size of the V-12 models was four inches shorter, headlights an inch smaller in diameter, and there were slightly smaller chrome horns.
This particular 1931 Cadillac V12 Series 370A Five Passenger Phaeton was delivered new through Jerry Duryea Inc., its shipping instructions were 'Rush S.A.P.' It left the works on June 12, 1931, with an Evergreen exterior and a 'tonneau windshield.' The 368 cubic-inch, overhead valve V-12 engine with dual Johnson Updraft carburetor delivers 135 horsepower at 3,400 RPM.
