1954 Cadillac Series 62 Navigation
This 1954 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible was purchased new from Swisher Cadillac of Mansfield, Ohio, by the owner of the local taxi company branch. Four subsequent owners were also from Mansfield, prior to the Cadillac's acquisition by Mr. John Staluppi in 1994.
This 1954 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible has been given an exacting restoration with approximately 6,000 hours invested in the process over a 15-year span between 2001 and 2016. It wears its originally specified paint scheme of Apollo Gold with Mint Green and cream leather upholstery. Upgrades include powder-coated seat frames and double-sprung seats. The convertible top was originally black and replaced with dark green material – one of the available colors for 1954.
The 331 cubic-inch overhead valve V8 engine has a single four-barrel carburetor and delivers 230 horsepower at 4,400 RPM. There is a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.By Daniel Vaughan | May 2024
