    1929 Peerless Model 6-81 Navigation
Founded as a manufacturer of clothes wringers, Peerless began building automobiles in Cleveland, Ohio, in the early 1900s and became known as one of the 'Three Ps' of the American luxury market along with Packard and Pierce-Arrow. The 1929 Model 6-81 followed the introduction of the company's 6-80 model that debuted in 1926. Both the 6-81 and the 6-80 rode on a 116-inch wheelbase platform and featured semi-elliptical leaf springs and a 248 cubic-inch Continental inline six-cylinder engine paired with a three-speed manual transmission. This example rides 19-inch wood spoke wheels and has hydraulically assisted drum brakes, a central brake light, cowl lamps, a front passenger jump seat, and rear window shades.
