1927 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Navigation
This 1927 Rolls-Royce Phantom I wears a Kenilworth Sedan built by Brewster, one of 35 examples finished in this configuration. It was sold new to American steel industrialist William Mather of Cleveland, Ohio, and was subsequently owned by Rodney Brown in Olympia, Washington. While in the care of Mr. Brown, the engine and gearbox were built in 1982.
The current caretaker returned the fenders back to their original specifications, reversing a 'modernization' that was applied in the 1930s. The car also received a sympathetic re-painting at that time.
This Phantom I currently has 60,355 miles on its odometer, which is believed to be original. The inline 6-cylinder engine displaces 7,668cc, has a single Updraft Rolls-Royce carburetor, and produces 95 horsepower at 2,750 RPM.
