2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta Navigation
Ferrari introduced the 550 Maranello in 1996 as a successor to the iconic Daytona, offering a two-seat, front-engined V-12 coupe. The 550 Maranello's success led to the production of a limited-edition variant, the 550 Barchetta, designed by Pininfarina. Only 448 Barchettas were built, and they have become a core model for any Ferrari collection due to their provenance and acclaimed gated-manual, open-top driving experience. This example, Barchetta number 185, was delivered to Ferrari of Hawaii in 2001 and has been used by a California-based enthusiast until June 2007. It spent some time in Florida before being acquired from Ferrari of Philadelphia in July 2015, who has added a mere 80 miles to its odometer. The total mileage is just 3,482.
This limited-edition, open-top Ferrari is powered by a twelve-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gated manual shifter. It is one of just 127 US-market examples, and it wears the classic Ferrari combination of Rosso Corsa over Nero leather interior.By Daniel Vaughan | Nov 2024
