2008 Acura ARX-01B Navigation
Eager to promote the Acura brand, Acura Motorsports, powered by Honda Performance Development, made a strategic move to enter the prototype ranks of the American Le Mans Series. They enlisted three established teams - Andretti Green Racing, Duncan Dayton's Highcroft Racing, and Fernandez Motorsport - to field their cars for the 2007 season. The 'Acuras' made their debut at the official test ahead of the Sebring 12 Hours, marking the beginning of their competitive journey.

By the third race of the 2008 season, the Highcroft team secured Acura's second class victory and the first of that season. David Brabham and Scott Sharp piloted the Patron-sponsored Acura to significant success, nearly closing the gap with the championship leaders and claiming an overall win. A similar achievement followed at Detroit by the AGR team, signaling the start of an impressive streak for the brightly adorned machine.
