1965 Lancia Flaminia Navigation
This 1965 Lancia 2.8 3C Zagato Super Sport was acquired by its current caretaker in 1976, purchasing it from Paul Reichert of Pasadena, California. Mr. Reichert had imported the car from Italy in the early 1970s. In 1985, this Lancia was sold to Dr. Richard May of Santa Monica, CA. who embarked on a restoration, later selling the unfinished car back to the current owner in 1991. A comprehensive restoration began in 2018, returning it back to its original configuration and splendor. The alloy Zagato body was fully stripped by American Strippers of Sacramento, CA before being prepped and painted by Hector Ramirez. The interior was restored by Don HIggins, and the engine was rebuilt by Dr. May.
This Lancia wears a period-correct Zagato color of Grigio Cascine with a contrasting Burgundy leather interior.
In 2024, the car was shown at the Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance where it was awarded the major 'Best Postwar Closed Car' award.By Daniel Vaughan | Jan 2025
