1920 Duesenberg Racer Navigation
The Duesenberg brothers, Fred and August, were passionate about racing and built over 30 race cars throughout the teens and 1920s. Eddie Rickenbacker was the first to race one in the 1914 Indy 500 finishing in 10th place.

A Duesenberg driven by Jimmy Murphy won the 1921 French Grand Prix, the first American car to do so. Duesenbergs won the Indy 500 in 1922, 1924, 1925, and 1927.

This car's race career can be tracked back to Jim Steck of Kalamazoo, MI, where he raced the car on board tracks, dirt tracks and the bricks of Indy.

It was discovered in a barn in the 1980s and restored by Zakiras Garage and Old Crow Speed Shop.

This Duesenberg is powered by a 260 cubic-inch straight 8-cylinder engine with overhead cams, modified firing order, dual Winfield carburetors, and Eismann aircraft magneto. It has a steel frame and chassis, a Duesenberg three-speed transmission, and Hayes steel wheels with rear mechanical brakes.
