1930 Chrysler Series 77 Navigation
The Chrysler 77 was a very advanced automobile for its era, featuring a double-drop frame with a tubular front axle, hydraulic brakes, a four-speed transmission, and a six-cylinder engine with full-pressure lubrication and aluminum pistons. Its performance capabilities was demonstrated by Gioacchino Leonardi and Ezio Barbieri with a class victory in the 1930 Mille Miglia.
This particular Model 77 Roadster was acquired by Frank L. Wright in 1977 and given a restoration by his team of Roy and Ralph Snyder in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. The exterior was finished in Black and Nyanna Green with a Packard Ivory stripe.
The restoration was rewarded with a National Senior First Prize as well as two Preservation honors in 1979 in Antique Automobile Club of America competition. Over the years, the car has been used and shown sparingly.By Daniel Vaughan | Feb 2025
