1910 Ford Model T Touring

The 1910 Model Ts were very similar to the 1909 models, with minor adjustments to the rear axle, a new standard color for all models (dark green), and the arrival of windshields. This example was built in April 1910, and it is believed that the original owner was Mr. Nehr of Wilmington, Delaware. Mr. Nehr sold the Model T in 1957 to Gordon Kirwin of Maryland. The car remained in Mr. Kirwin's care for 54 years, and during that time, he restored the car sympathetically twice, completed no fewer than 16 Glidden Tours, and even corresponded directly with Henry Ford II, having won the Ford prize in the 1972 edition.

This Model T is powered by a four-cylinder engine with a single Holley carburetor and produces 22 horsepower at 1,600 RPM. There is a two-speed Planetary transmission, rear hand-operated mechanical brakes, foot-activated contracting bands on the driveshaft, and solid axles with transverse leaf springs.

Upon Mr. Kirwin's death in 2011, the car was sold to Philip Myers of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, who sold it in 2023 to the current caretaker.
