1923 Marmon Model 34 Navigation
Marmon introduced its Model 34 in 1916, featuring a robust inline six-cylinder engine that delivered plenty of performance, along with several groundbreaking design elements for its time, including a non-louvered hood and a painted radiator. The 339.6 cubic-inch overhead valve inline six had a single Updraft Stromberg carburetor and was paired to a three-speed manual gearbox. Mechanical drum brakes provided the stopping power.
This particular 1923 Speedster was in the care of the same family from 1960 until 2019. It was given a lacquer refinish in 1961, and upholstery work was completed by Smithtown Auto Upholstery in New York.
From 1995 to 2019, the car saw little use. The current caretaker resealed the engine with new gaskets and restored the fuel system. This Model 34 is currently in running and driving condition.By Daniel Vaughan | Apr 2025
