1969 ISO Grifo GL Coupe

This example is one of only 412 Grifos produced by Iso Autoveicoli S.p.A. from 1965 through 1974. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro while he was at Bertone and engineered by Giotto Bizzarrini, this car is the epitome of a grand touring sports car: fast, luxurious, and quite comfortable at speed. This car was the subject of a fully-documented restoration from 1995 through 1998. It retains the original interior and exterior colors, and came equipped from the factory with a 327 cubic-inch, 300-horsepower Corvette engine matched to a Muncie M-21 close-ratio four-speed transmission and 3:31 performance rear-end ratio. The body is hand-made from steel and aluminum and optioned with Borrani wire wheels, air conditioning, power windows, a leather interior, original Blaupunkt New Yorker radio, a performance axle ratio, and the Muncie M-21 close-ratio four-speed transmission. This early model has a fully documented history and was the subject of the award-winning documentary film, 'The Red Grifo.'
