1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Series 300 Series 31 6 Cyl Sedan

The Corvair was introduced in 1960, followed by the Chevy II in 1962, and finally the Chevelle in 1964. The Chevelle was placed in between the full-size Chevy and the Chevy II. The Chevelle was a very versatile machine, with eleven different models to select from. The base model was the Chevelle 300 with the top-of-the-line being the Chevelle Malibu SS.

Sales were extremely strong with 338,286 examples sold during the first year. For 1967, a total of 341,000 Chevelles were sold with 290,000 of them Malibu passenger cars.

This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Two-Door Hardtop is painted in Granada Gold with Black vinyl roof and matching black vinyl interior. Sitting under the hood is a 283 cubic-inch V8 offering 195 horsepower and mated to a Powerglide automatic gearbox. Other features include a bench seat, power steering, radio, and Corvette Rally wheels with BFG Radial T/A white letter tires. The odometer reads just 52,461 miles since new.

In 2007 it was brought to the Bonhams Auction, An Important Sale of Collectors' Motorcars and Automobilia, held at the Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club in Carmel, California. This Chevelle Malibu Two-Door Hardtop was sold for a high bid of $24,000 plus premium and taxes.
