This 1965 Ford Country Squire was ordered from the factory with a 390 cubic-inch, four-barrel V8 engine, power steering, power brakes, AM Radio with rear speaker, air conditioning, and dual exhausts. It has front seat belts with retractors and a rear seat package. There is a luggage rack for additional storage capacity, a clock, tinted glass, two-speed windshield wiper with washer, and XL bucket seats and console. The car was ordered with the Police Interceptor package which included a heavy-duty radiator, Lincoln brake drums, heavy-duty front sway bar, power steering fluid cooler, and a 1/2-ton rear end. This made the vehicle suitable for towing heavy loads.

For 1965, Ford again offered a variety of Station Wagon options with the base trim level being the Ranch Wagon. The Station Wagons were available with both Six or Eight cylinder engines with total series output for all station wagons built by Ford in 1965 totaling 177,664. The trim levels included the Ranch Wagon, The Country Sedan, and the Country Squire. Seating ranged from six to ten passengers.
