1954 Triumph TR2 Navigation
'Any Way You Look At It....It's a TriuMPH' During high-speed trials prior to the start of production, the TR2 achieved a speed of almost 125 mph under observed conditions, truly staggering for a 2-liter sports car. The TR2 prototype was first shown at the Earl's Court Motor Show in 1952. A revised version was shown at the Geneva Motor Show of 1953, and the first production examples were completed in July of that year. By the end of 1953, a mere 305 TR2s had been produced and this 1954 rolled off the production line at Stands-Triumph's Banner Lane Plant in Coventry, England on Thursday, March 4th, 1954, a very early production car. The engine is a 90-horsepower in-line 4-cylinder.
