1909 Packard Model 18 Touring

    1909 Packard Model 18 Navigation
Packard began its second decade of production by adding a new 'City' model, the Model 18, introduced in late 1908, as a smaller version of the popular Model 30. The pricing of the model 18 was approximately $1,000 dollars less than the Model 30, but still, at the cost of $3,200, it was more than the average house. The Cream and Brown paint colors were an additional $50 option, folding windshield at $70, and Cape Top at $135. The '18' designates a French calibration of horsepower that equates to 30 horsepower. The engine is a 267.5 cubic-inch T-head four-cylinder. 1909 production was 802 units. The Model 18 was produced through 1911.

Packard's advertising slogan was 'Ask the Man Who Owns One.'
