1956 Zundapp Janus Navigation
Zundapp is one of the best-known makers of German motorcycles. The company's first car was in 1931 and it was Ferdinand Porsche's design for a 'people's car'. Microcar production began in 1956 with this design of aircraft builder Claudius Dornier. Seating 4, entry was made through doors in the front and rear with the rear passengers facing backward. The engine is mounted between the two rows of seats which can be converted into a two-person bed. The name 'Janus' was appropriately chosen after the Roman god who faced in two directions.
