1959 Lotus Seven Roadster

241 Series 1 Sevens were built, 20 with Climax engines and listed as 'Super Sevens.' This particular example is the 55th Lotus 7 built.

This rare Lotus was raced in England on the continent in the late 1950s and early-mid 1960s, brought to the United States and raced with various vintage and historic racing groups along with fast road driving on the roads of New England for the past forty years. Has been raced throughout the Northeast, Canada, and the Bahamas.

The engine is derived from the Coventry Climax 'Godiva' series of emergency fire pumps and, complete, weighs only 205 pounds.

- For road use: 15-inch wire wheels with 165-15 radials, road windshield with built-in wiper assembly, heater, radio, top, side curtains, full road lighting
- For race use: removable roll bar, racing screens, fuel cell built into original alloy fuel tank, Accusump oiling system, wire wheels with 500L15 Dunlop racing tires, 5 point harnesses, battery cut-off switch, rev limiter
