1961 Fiat Jolly 500 Navigation
The Jolly 500 was introduced in 1957 and carried coachwork by Ghia. They were powered by a two-cylinder engine with 16.5 horsepower and weighed just 1050 lbs. Top speed was 59 mph and gas mileage was in the neighborhood of 42 miles-per-gallon. The Jolly was not a very practical vehicle. Its primary purposes were for recreation such as being driven at the beach. Their lightweight and compact bodies made them suitable for transportation on yachts.
This 1961 Fiat Jolly 500 with coachwork by Ghia was offered for sale at the 2006 RM Auction in Monterey, CA where it was offered without reserve and estimated to sell between $40,000-$60,000. It has traveled just 11,500 miles since new. The interior features wicker seats which provide comfortable accommodations for its passengers.
