The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was introduced in 1963. The vehicles were able to be driven from the showroom and straight to the track. Many components of the Corvette could be easily upgraded such as the engine, suspension, and brakes. The limited slip Positraction differential had a wide range of available ratios which made them suitable for any road course.
