1958 Lancia Aurelia Nardi Blue Ray 2 Coupe

Blue Ray 2 was created in 1958 by Enrico Nardi. The car debuted at the Turin Motor Show that same year. It is built on a heavily modified Lancia Aurelia B24 4th Series chassis. The coachwork was designed by Michelotti and constructed of steel by Vignale. The car is fitted with a blue Perspex roof, which slides in tracks to provide ventilation to the cabin. Power is provided by a Lancia Aurelia B20 engine with Nardi tuning updates. The wheels for this car were specially commissioned from Borrani and are of 68-spoke construction with knockoff hubs. These special wire wheels were subsequently offered as an option for the Aurelia Spiders. The car was restored and shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 1990. It returned in 2008.
