1964 Morgan Plus Four Roadster

The Morgan Plus 4 was produced between 1950 and 1969 and then re-introduced in 1985. The Plus 4 was a larger and faster version of the company's popular 4/4 model. Power was initially from a 2088cc inline four-cylinder engine sourced from Standard Vanguard upon the model's introduction. However, later cars, like this 1964 model, were powered by Triumph-sourced inline four-cylinder engines borrowed from the Triumph TR3, and later the TR4.

Aside from the updated motors, nearly everything else remained the same, including the ashwood framed body, sliding pillar front suspension, cut-down doors and special-to-Morgan cream-colored Smith gauges.

This 1964 Morgan is powered by a 2138cc TR4 motor making 102 horsepower and utilizes a 4-speed synchromesh gearbox. Its current owner found the car in the Great Smoky Mountains and later performed a full body restoration. This Morgan took third place at the Morgan Motors Centenary in England in 2009.
