1969 Lola T163 CanAm Spider

Lola Cars International Ltd. was a racing car engineering company founded in 1958 by Eric Broadley and based in Huntingdon, England. For more than fifty years, Lola was one of the oldest and largest manufactures of purpose built race cars in the world. The Lola T163 was developed by Lola Cars of Great Britain to compete in Sports Car Racing. Lola would build the chassis and the company would use different engine sources, usually American built V-8s. This T-163 was one of the most successful cars built for Lola for the Can-Am Series. These were the first Lola's to use the Big Block Chevy engines. Somewhere north of 25 of these were built from 1968 to 1970.

The T-163's were raced by the likes of Mark Donohue, Peter Revson, and others. This car, known as the Robbins-Jeffries Can Am Special, ran eight of the 11 races in 1969. Peter Revson drove the car in 1969. The car was the second highest finishing Lola in the 1969 Can Am Championship and earned Revson an 11th place finish in the standings - having only competed in the final 7 races of the season. The car went through a number of owners during the years before the current owner acquired the car in 2015. It has incredible race history and is one of the most recognized and well known Lola's in existence.
