The car competed in 1983, 1984, and 1985 IMSA race championships at Road America, Laguna Seca, Sebring, Charlotte, Daytona, Riverside, Watkins Glen, Portland, Mid Ohio, Columbus, Lime Rock, Miami, Road Atlanta, Pocono, Sears Point, and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The car is powered by a 364 cubic-inch, 12-cylinder engine, developing 575 horsepower. The racing weight is 2,030 pounds and its top speed is 234 miles per hour.
A five-year Jeff Sime restoration has returned the car to race ready condition. The engine was rebuilt by Wilson Works with consultation from Lankey Foushee. The car was completely disassembled and every detail was restored to race-ready condition. It has been back racing since 2010. Wins included 1st place Atlanta, 1st place Road America, Best car on track Atlanta, Best car in group Road America. In addition it competed at the Monterey Historic races in 2011.
Of the 10 cars built, six remain of which only two are in racing condition. This example last raced in 1985. It was stored in a garage until the current owner purchased it and began the restoration.
