1942 Cadillac Series 75 Formal Sedan

This vehicle is a 1942 Cadillac Series 75 Formal 7-passenger Limousine with coachwork by Fleetwood. The Cadillac Series 7533F Formal Limousine was the most expensive Cadillac that could be purchased in the very short production pre-War year of 1942. This Cadillac was featured in the motion picture 'The Aviator' starring Leonardo DiCaprio about the life of Howard Hughes.

A very rare model, this Cadillac is body number 1 of the 80 manufactured and is one of 2 known to remain. Howard Hughes actually owned body number 2 as his personal limousine as portrayed in the movie.

    - Factory delivered to New York in 1941
    - 38,000 actual miles
    - original paint, chrome, trim, top & registration plate
    - Heaviest (excl. commercial chassis) and most expensive Cadillac model in the 1942 line
    - Final year of the 'Formal' body style (Enclosed rear quarter windows) ending an era of factory custom coachbuilding.
