1934 Aston Martin MK II Tourer

  • Chassis Number: F4/446/S
The Aston Martin Mark II was introduced at the 1934 Olympia Motor Show in two forms - an 8-foot, 7-inch short chassis and a 10-foot long chassis. This is a very original and complete examples of the short chassis. Of the 160 total Mark IIs built, 60 were short chassis. The 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder single overhead cam engine of the Mark II developed 73 bhp.

Chassis number F4/446/S is a genuine and original car which has not been fettled with throughout its lifetime. it is featured in the Schlegelmilch and Lehbrink book and its condition is superb throughout. This 1.5-Litre Short chassis has been in the same ownership from 1982 to 2007. It received a comprehensive, photo documented and detailed restoration within the past ten years and has been used extremely infrequently since, although it has been maintained and stored properly regardless of use. In 2008 it received an engine rebuilt to the best specifications with various upgrades by noted marque specialist Ecurie Bertelli-Andy Bell. At this time, it was serviced from front to rear receiving attention wherever needed regardless of coast and received ignition and charging system upgrades as well as a modified pedal box assembly to modern pedal positioning.
