1950 Austin A40 Countryman Navigation
This Austin A40 may be the only left-hand drive Countryman in the United States. The Austin A40 was one of the first new post-war car designs to come out of Britain. The A40 (more commonly known as the Devon in its homeland) got its numerical designation from its 1.2-lier, inline four-cylinder engine with overhead valves, which produced about 40 horsepower. The distinctive tall grille separated in the middle, with the top half rising up when opening the rear-hinged hood. The Countryman was a two-door wagon body style that had a different, higher roofline as well.
