1908 Cadillac Model M Tulip Roadster

1908 was the final year for Cadillac before it became part of the General Motors Corporation, organized by William Durant.

This Cadillac Type M began its life as a passenger car, but early in its history was converted to a truck - a not uncommon occurrence in those early days of motoring.

The inline four-cylinder motor developed 25 horsepower. It featured a cast-iron crankcase and copper water jacket. 1908 was the last year for Cadillac's bulky planetary transmission. The price new in 1908 was $2,000.
