1957 Nash Ambassador Series 80 Navigation
1957 marked the final year for Nash production. For 1958 Nash and Hudson merged to become American Motors.
This 1957 Nash Ambassador is one of only 997 Custom Country Club two-door hardtops built - and one of only six known to exist today, according to the owner. It was Nash's most expensive model, costing more than $3,000 new.
For 1957 the Ambassador received a major styling make-over. A newly designed front end was used, highlighting a new cellular grille and front fender-mounted parking lights. The four-beam headlight system was a 'first' for an American car.
The 1957 Nash Ambassador offered one engine: a 327 cubic-inch AMC V-8 engine that produced 255 horsepower. Standard equipment included power brakes, airliner reclining seats, electric clock and padded sun visors.
